ex!. I like when a vampire is not in love with a human!. -When you read a vampire story what do you not like to happen!? ex!.) I hate when authors make there vampires completely different from other authors vampires, I mean some authors make them seem like a totally different species!. *THIS IS NOT A QUESTION BASHING TWILIGHTERS(SOMEONE ASKED ME THAT BEFORE)* *I'M NOT WRITING A VAMPIRE STORY, I JUST WANT TO KNOW*Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: While I try to stay open to an authors inspiration, I'm not fond of stories where the vampire is just another ugly monster to be defeated - aka most of the Buffy vamps, which seemed to exist to get trashed!. Conversely I really like vampires with well developed personalities, lots of character with their own flaws and challenges!. Adding some period drama makes things interesting, but can read a bit contrived or clicheed sometimes!. I like paranormal romance, but the same-old skit where the innocent maiden has to force her dying love to take blood from her wrist to have his (un)life wears really thin!. I've read one Poppy Z Brite novel and that was quite enough of that!. As examples, my fave vampire book is Freda Warrington's A Taste of Blood Wine!. My least favorite is anything like the film From Dusk Till Yawn, er, I mean Dawn, or American Vampire (I can't GIVE the DVD away)!. I'm not mentioning Anne Rice works because it almost goes without saying that I think all her work is fabulous!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I like vampires to be characters, not cut-and-paste Dracula!. I also enjoy when authors try to make them unique in abilities, weaknesses, ect!. I think that making their vampires completely differnt from other vampires keeps fresh blood in the story!. Vamps in love with humans is just fine with me, as long as its not the only plot there is in the entire book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Honestly i enjoyed reading the Vampire Kisses series because a vampire WAS in love with a human and it made things interesting!. I also hate to tell u but i like when authors make their vampires different from most other authors!. It makes them unique!. I would deffinitely get tired with reading about vampires if the stories were all the same!.Www@QuestionHome@Com i like it when the vampires are not that different from regular ppl when around them but away from the other ppl they are awesome and totally cool!. and it depends the human/vampire couple!.(for if i like it when they like each other) Im ready for Breaking Dawn though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Yeah, I dont like it too much when the vampire falls for a human!.
