Question: For older readers of Twilight, do you feel this way!?
I, a guy, I finally caved and I started reading Twilight!.!.!.and you know what!? I'm actually liking it!. I was in Barnes and Noble just looking around and I saw it!. I actually wrestled with myself over picking it and I'm thinking, what am I afraid of!? I was twenty one reading the Harry Potter series about four years ago!. I'm seeing other adults read it too, so I figure!.!.!.why the hell not!? What do I have to lose!?

Every time I come here it's Twilight this and that, and why it sucks and Edward this and you know what!? I like it already because of one simple reason: I was simply sucked in!. I couldn't put it down!. That is the sign of good work!. Is it the best!? Probably not, but!.!.!.I really can't explain it!. I feel the same way when I read Harry Potter, Jarhead, White Oleander, My Sister's Keeper, Moneyball, The Godfather!.!.!.

So I've guess I've officially joined the club!. I also got New Moon, and I hope to get the series read before Breaking Dawn!. Do you feel this way too!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Okay, so I'm a young reader, but I absolutely love the series, simply because of the details and the bond between Edward and Bella!. I love Harry Potter as well, but as far as writing style!.!.!. ehh, not so good!. The plot is amazing for HP, but Twilight has both!. I heard somewhere "SM writes a page for what JKR would write a paragraph!." She draws you in with the details about the liquid gold eyes and the frighteningly sharp razor teeth, the skin that sparkles so brilliantly in the sunlight and the!.!.!. uh oh, getting carried away again!.

Plus, it's every girl's dream (I know you're a guy, but as a girl, this holds true for me!)!. Bella is the everyday girl!. A little more clumsy than usual (okay, not for me) and yet, somehow, she's special in a way that wouldn't usually be recognized!. Powers to do with the mind don't work on her!. She smells especially good to vampires!. Well, many people think, if she's so everyday and all THIS happens to her!.!.!. it shows that the most ordinary can be extraordinary!.

Just a tip- I heard of this website you might like Twilightguy!.com

And congrats on becoming a Twilight Guy! There aren't enough around here!. And good for you for reading it without the prodding of friends and family members! It happens a lot with girls, but not so often with guys!. I've heard of guys reading the books because their girlsfriends wanted them to "be more like Edward!." Poor guys!.!.!. Though I wouldn;t mind an Edward-like boyfriend myself!. The kids in my school could learn a few lessons from him! Haha!.

Hope this helped! And seriously, check out that website!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, I'm not an older reader but I can agree with you!. I've debated why I exactly like Twilight, but I've considered the plot and how Bella's so dedicated to Edward and vice versa and, honestly, I think there's not one thing that pulls you in - it's a package deal!.!.!. It's simply alluring, how about that!? xDWww@QuestionHome@Com

okay!.!.!. i'm not an older reader either but i think that any book that can keep me interested must be pretty good, and i couldn't put those books down!. i read them all in about 2 weeks, maybe less!. i love the combination of romance and adventure!.
good luck finishing the series!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Im a guy to and even though im only 14 i still love the books!. I have read all of them and they were great even though i read them out of order!. I can't wait for the new book or the movie coming out on December 12th !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm not an older reader, i'm 15!. when i came on here first everything was "twilight this" and "twilight that" and i kept thinking what the hell was with everyones obsession with twilight!. i knew it was a romance/action novel so,as a lad, i was reluctant to read it but i finally caved an started reading it!. i ended up reading twilight and new moon in one sitting!.the next day i got eclipse and read that in one go too!. normally i finish a book in one day anyway but something about the twilight series makes in very interesting!. i have read better books though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yeah, I do feel that way!. I'm 25 years old, but I heard so many things about Twilight on here that I decided to read it, and am finished with all three books and can't wait for the release of the fourth!. Sucked in is exactly how I'd describe it, I read all three books in 2 days!. It is a literary piece of art, and an awesome story that continues to get better!. Glad to know I'm not the only older (by that I mean not a teen) person to enjoy it :DWww@QuestionHome@Com

I'm an older reader and so-so about Twilight!. There are more things I don't like about the series than things I do like about it!. I dislike Bella!. Edward's a control-freak!. The characters outside of the Bella/the Cullens circle are undeveloped and too similar with each other--It's hard to appreciate each as an individual when they all have the same face in my head; and I usually like off-to-the-side characters!. The fighting sequences in Eclipse were so poorly done--that was the last straw!.

But I guess I'm in the club too, whether I like it or not!. The series does uphold my interest, and I am gonna buy Breaking Dawn to see what happens next!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well for me the hype has certainly worn off!. Twilight was the best book in the series but New Moon and Eclipse didn't impress me that much!. Of course I'm going to read Breaking Dawn but I could never say that this series is the best!. It has gotten annoying to see so many people hyped up on these book!. It goes even deeper!. On yahoo questions it's the same Twilight questions every other post!. Ok, so people are really excited about it so it's cool!. Then there's all the fan sites and clubs that hold thousands of fangirls (and guys) that are obsessed with the books!. That's neat, everyone has their place to go for them!. But then there's the people that are on youtube!.!.don't even get me started!. That's where I started to find these books a bit distasteful!. On youtube, there are girls literally moaning, hyperventilating, crying, and throwing tantrums over these books!. They're pissed, happy, excited, and/or obsessed because they can't sleep at night because of how much they love these books!. That is what I call sad, pathetic, etc!.

Don't get me wrong!. I love Twilight and like Eclipse more than I do New Moon but I think that all of the hype everywhere has just kind of ruined it a little for me!.!.It becomes annoying!. But I suppose Harry Potter was that way too!. I don't care for those books though!.

So!.!.I wasn't and am not dissing the books!. I'm just saying!.!.the hype after a while may get to you!. OH! And for your original question!.!.Don't feel weird if you like these books!. I saw a question earlier that a woman asked about her husband liking Jane Austen and that if other men read her books!. Give yourself a pat on the back and welcome to the club!. XDWww@QuestionHome@Com

I am not an older reader but, I agree with you too!. My friend lets me borrow her books to read and when I asked her for another book, she said I would have to read Twilight first!. At first, I said I'll just buy the book I want so I dont have to read that humongous book Im not going to like!. Later, I said what the heck, I'll read it!. So we had a bet!. If i like the book I owe her 2 dollars, If i hated it, she would owe me!. Well I read the book and wound up giving her $2!. And ya knoew what, I am a Huge fan of the series!. I am currently reading eclipse!. I also got sucked in to the book!. I am hoping to get Breaking Dawn and also seeing the movie in December!. I think it is the best work, though!Www@QuestionHome@Com
