oh yes!. because a painting only requires an instant in order to be visualized as a whole and thus it sends you to its message immediately, you don't have to dwell too much on it to understand it, the meaning is all in your mind at once!.

however, reading a book requires time and in during that time the descriptions keep giving you things to ponder on, images to think about: it requires a step-by-step understanding and a more refined process of discovering the meanings!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think so, while a painting can be visual and graphic in depicting a carnal affair, a book's words can create an image in your mind derived from experiences and mental "pictures"!. So while a painting gives you a painted scene, a book stimulates your imagination and moves your mind to create those pictures that stimulate YOU, in other words a book is more personal, because you are able to pull from personal experiences and the Carnal Affair is a private experience in your head!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you would like specifics, there is an incredible scene in the book Horse Heaven, by Jane Smiley, where a woman has an affair with a trainer!. And it is all from the woman's point of view!. I usually think sex scenes are usually either too graphic or too silly and fake, but this one was a work of art!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, I look at it like this!.

A book can definitely express Carnal or any other affair better; BUT only for those who can understand the words!.!.!.
Whereas, a Painting can depict the same in a language that could be understood by all (except for Visually-challenged, pardon my saying so!)Www@QuestionHome@Com
