Question: What's the name of this haunting story I read as a child!?
It also got made into a short film!. It's about a girl from Earth who has to move with her parents to a grey, rainy planet She tries to tell the gloomy kids at her new school about how beautiful the sun is, but they resent her for it, and one day they lock her in a coat closet!. Minutes later the rain stops and the sun comes out!. The children are awed!. They see blue sky, green grass, blooming flowers!. So they play, and laugh, and enjoy!. Meanwhile, sunlight only reaches one corner of the closet, but the girl warms her fingers with it and is happy that the others got a chance to bask in the sun!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I absolutely love this story!. I read it with my sixth graders every year!. They love it, too!.

It's a Ray Bradbury story, and I have been searching all over for the original book of short stories for ages! The planet was Venus, and I remember the ending where the kids realize what they have done and walk toward the closet!. Haunts me still!Www@QuestionHome@Com
