Position:Home>Books & Authors> Is Wesley a good name for a prince in a fatasy story?
Question: Is Wesley a good name for a prince in a fatasy story!?
or is it too modern!? I kinda like it but I dunno!. I mean, wasn't the guy in Princess Bride anmed wesley!? and that was a fantasy!. (I am so not coppying! I didn't even make the connection till jsut now)
anyway, here's what he loks like!. Tall with dark hair and big brown eyes!. he's kinda naive as a prince and doesn't really know about all the bad things going on in his country!. But by the end of the book he's kinda grown up and turned in t less of a prince and more of a king!. If you're like me and your visual then a celebrity that he looks like is Skandar Keynes!.
Suggestions please!?!?!?!? But NOT just a long list! I repeat NOT JUST A LONG LIST OF NAMES! All I want is a few names and why you like them!. Thanks!
Sarah

As for your question : I think Wesley is a good name!. It reminds me of Harry Potter Ron Wesley though!. Its a little modern, not really!. I just think you can think of something more creative!. What about something like Amir or Charles!? It would help if I knoew what country he was the prince of!. Pick something native to that country!. I googled "prince names" and I like Britannicus!. Its sounds strong and prince-like :)
Good luck! I hope your writing is awesome, im sure it will be!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
I actually really like that name!. If you're writting the story you need to make it part of you and go with what you feel is right!. I think it's a great name and it's not to modern at all!. I I think Wesley is a name that is good for alot of roles, it fits for a small child or and old man!. It could be a range of different people and it's perfect for a dynamic character who needs to sound strong!. A few other names I like for a Prince are
Lukas
Deacon
