Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Hmm!.!.!.I think its fate and destiny at the same time!

Its fate in the fact that the shoes were thrown down at Stanley, so that he would go to Camp Green Lake, because he was accused of stealing!. However, it was also his destiny that he go there to find the treasure, help his family, and help Hector!. also, it was destiny that Hector threw the shoes, instead of some random person, because Stanley and Hector's pasts were intertwined!. also, how Stanley and Hector discovered the peaches was fate, because that was meant to be Stanley's dad's stinky shoe remedy, which helped out his poor family (the treasure too;) So I say that the book could go either way, as a case of fate or destiny, because both are valid answers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've watched the flim!. Its because his family has bad luck (only the men in the family) so yeah!.
