yes im only a teenager! but ever since i was little i have been writing things: stories, poems, songs, etc!. and ive been working on two stories about a vampire falling inlove with a human and i dont know where to go from there, after i finish them!. any tips or ideas or places you know of that i could send a copy of my story to where i could possibly get it published!? First off, write what YOU want!. Don't let people discourage you by telling you that the plot has been done before and that no one will read your story!. You know how many girls are on here everyday asking for vampire books like Twilight!? Many people use the same plots but they make the storyline original!. There's always a theme!. Usually in fantasy it's good vs!. evil!. Done SO MANY times but people still crave fantasy worlds!. So basically, make this story your own and original!. As long as you don't steal storylines, characters, etc!. from other people then you're cool!. Anyone can make a story about a vampire falling in love with a human, not just one person!. Like I said, just make it your own!. Make it different from other plots that are the same!. You can make this work!. Now that you have the courage, the next steps are to get it published right!?

Look over and over your work!. Edit and re-edit!. Make it clear of mistakes, errors, etc!. Research online about how to send in your book, be ready for rejection, and don't give up! Stay strong and also, look on many famous author's sites!. They may give help on how THEY made it!. What they did to send in their book etc!. So, just research around!. And I honestly don't suggest getting a copy of Writer's Market!. I've tried it and honestly, I think it's a waste of time unless you really want to read that big book!. First of all you need to finish your book!. then you need to edit it to the best of you're ability!. then you can either go straight to publishers of get an agent!. i'd reccomend getting an agent especially since you're a teenager!. to get an agent you need to write a letter and send it to many different agents!. hopefully they will ask you to send them a copy of you're manuscript!. in you're letter yuo should include a brief summary of your book, the target market, and why your book is better than all hte other books out there!. (steve manning has a good article on writing an letter to get an agent!. it shouldn't be too hard to find it) if an agent asks you to pay money up front then it is probably a scam!. agents get paid a percentge of what publishers pay you(usually 15%)!. you shouln't have to pay up front!. from this point you work with your agent until you get published(hopefully) you shaoul do a lot of research before you approach an agent or a publisher!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

and first off, you shouldn't listen to what other ppl say!. vampire falling in love with human, is exactly the type of book im looking for to read right now!. but i haven't found one besides the twilight series!. >!.< you can also check out stephanie meyers website, and go where she is talking about twilight!. she wrote a bunch of stuff that she did to get her book published!. good luck!. Finish your book first, and then resort to the "Writer's Market" for the agent search and publication process!. You should be able to find a copy at a local library!.

when you finish a book and it's all polished and edited, don't expect them to do any editing on your 1st book, they will but only to change it!. look around more but basically!.

1!. Find a publisher that works with that kind of thing!. some people deal only with sci fi or non fiction!. Find books similar to yours and send to those publishers 1st!.

2!. send them a brief synopsis of your book, tell them about it and sell it to them in this letter!. Then hopefully they will request you send them the manuscript!. they read it and decide!.

get involved in online writing communities such as writing!.com, the only one i know, there are other!. The people there have been doing lots of things and know more than I!. However don't be fooled or put off too much as most of them have not published either, so they don't know what's happening!. Anything is possible!. and it often comes out of the blue!.

Being a teen if you write for ten years, and forget about this book along the way, stuff it in a drawer half finished!. If you keep writing you will be far ahead of me with 5 year to spare!. So if writing is your thing, keep doing it and write about whatever you want!.

Now idk much, but i'll try to give you one hint!. Write now whatever stupid cliched thing you can think of!. 10 years ago i had ideas of dumb things like indians or pirates, but i thought that stuff was dumb and already over played!. I tried to write something smart and cutting edge!. But now you see this stuff like 10,000 BC pirates of the carribean and all this self indulgent stuff that we thought was cliche or childish but it made bank!. So, write what you want and exactly what you want don't think about anything else!. Let out the most basic and simplist fantasy you have!.
