the movies are based on short stories by Philip K Dick (as were Total Recall, Screamers, Blade Runner and Minority Report!. PKD also wrote stories about plants that create replica pod people -- there may be novelisations of the movies, which PKD stories do not exactly match!. Try reading the anthology called 'The Father Thing' first, is my advice!. If you like it, there are plenty more!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
