Not some overdone thing about some native american, amish, etc teen finding themselves, having a relationship with nature, their 'new land' country and colony, their family, animals, or anything like that
Only way a teen would be inerested is the following, you will almost never ever ever (literally 1 in 37,482,578,439,534) find an exception; time travel(done classy), scandalous lives of younger people with the rich and the poor with scandals and love and death, etc!. Murder (not like war, some tribe shooting another tribe, or any of that crap) in which it has t be extremely suspenseful, mysterious, and unsuspected, or something happening now becuase of the past - look at the success of the Da Vinci Code and National Treasure ideas - golden!.
You will rarely rarely rarely find any exceptions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Historical fiction is a great introduction (think Philippa Gregory novels and whoever wrote The Secret Diary of Marie Antoinette) but historical FACT is quite excellent to read!.

David Starkey and Antonia Fraser write nonfiction quite accessible to non-scholars, and even to history-minded, high reading level teens!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It would depend!. I'm not a big fan of historical fiction , but if it had a good plot and was exciting and it wasn't something you would find in fifty years in a classroom being taught then yeah i'd think i'd read it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, that actually depends on the interest of the teens!. Personally, I like anything with a good plot, but nothng over done, kind of like the Da Vince Code!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yep!. I love historical fiction!. It'll need a little romance tossed in for me to _really_ want to read it though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

With me it depends on the story, but generally yes :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
