Since I'm a 19 year old male I think I can help you here, especially if you're a Lord of the Rings fan

1) World War Z- Max Brooks--- Spoof/Fiction novel written as an oral history of the first Zombie War, both slightly amusing and is good for the average teen Zombie fan

2) Sons of the Dark- Lynne Ewing --- this has a good fantasy start to it, and lacks the vulgarities a lot of teen literature has, and it's also a series of books so you have a lot to read there!.

3) Darren Shan Saga- Darren Shan--- you might have heard of these books and while they start off as a teen series for younger teens that doesn't make them any less enjoyable!.

4) Demonatta Series- Darren Shan--- another Darren Shan works that seems to span ages, I started reading it at 16 after my oral surgery, it has that right amount of horror, gore, humor, wit and is also a series that should keep you entertained as it now has 6 books (I believe)

5)I hate to say this but--- The Twilight Saga--- it's actually a good book and gives new light onto how vampires are viewed, it is a slight romance, but I still liked it for the intriguing plot lines, and for it being relatable to how teens are!.

6) Good Omens- Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman--- funny look into religion, amusing as heck!.--- Pratchett also has a whole funny series of Discworld books if you learn to like his writing style--- I recommend "Maskerade"

---- also, the best thing to do, just go to a book store, start looking around for things you might like, you never know what could surprise you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Maximum Ride series by James Patterson (Very fast-paced!. Regarding four 'experimental beings' who escape from the lab that they were created in to try and find freedom and answers)

also try Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones (About Sophie who try to find her fortunes when she's cursed into an old woman, the characters were very memorable, its a mix of fantasy, romance, mystery)

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer!. (About a boy-genius who finds an underground world of fairies and tries to blackmail them into giving him fairy-gold)

Fablehaven by Brandon Mull!. Two teens find out that their grandparents's farm is actually a safe haven for fairy-tale creatures except that the creatures are trying to escape!.

If you love LOTR, try Eragon by Christopher Paolini!.Its a trilogy set back in time about a boy who becomes a dragon rider!. Very similiar to LOTR!. Very long, almost a thousand pages I think!.

Discworld by Terry Prachett, you have to read it!. Its for fantasy lovers!.

Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan (about a boy ho finds out he's the son of Zeus and many other Gods are trying to kill him and he sort of has to figure out a prophecy)

Hope that helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card
This Alien Shore by CS Friedman

if you want to stick to fantasy, I sort of like Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman's Dragonlance series (the first two trilogies) and their Death Gate Cycle series was good also!.
