I think the series would still be a big hit!. Maybe not as big but definitely big!. It would change the whole book though!.there has to be someone to take the place of Edward and it can't be Jacob because that would make it totally different as well!. It would probably change some opinions around though, not mine but a lot of other people's, I just love the whole Cullen family too much to even think of switching teams!. yeah the whole book revovles around edward!. if he wasn't in there there would be no point to the book!. the book is told through bella's point of view!. and all she cares about is edward and if there is no edward no one really cares!. when i was reading new moon and found out that edward left i almost cried!. and my sister was joking with me then but she told me that edward doesn't ever come back!. and my heart just about broke when she told me that!. and a lot of my friends took forever to read new moon because edward was not in it!. a lot of other people were like skimming ahead to see if he ever came back!. it usually takes about a day to read one of those books but yeah it took me a while!. but yeah theres still jacob who is a werewolf!. the story could have been the same but switched around so that it was jacob who bella met first!. but there wouldn't be this great love story about a human and a vampire who wants to suck her blood but loves her too!. so yeah the book is nothing without edward!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!. But then you have to ask the same thing about Bella!. I mean, she's the only one who he can't hear!. But you have to ask yourself if the series would be as popular if Meyer had published Midnight Sun first!. Do you think everyone would have liked Edward's style of narration off the bat!? Bella truly has a certain fragility about her, and I think the human readers really need that!.!.!. to some extent!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

lol good question, but without Edward there's no story!. i think the fandom is just because the genre on the book!. obviously there has to be some super hot guy in the mix on a romance, but it's kind of funny that it's the opposite for guys you don't usually find them drool over some girl in the book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Edward is essential to the books, how can you have the story without Edward entering Bella's life!? Then it would be like any other book about a girl moving into a new place, entering a school and becoming popular!. Edward is the twist to the normal story!.
