Question: Twilight Fans, What is so good about the books!?
Okay!. I am not a person that goes bashing things for no reason!. In fact I never go around bashing things!. But I want to know from the Twilight Fans why you are so obsessed with these books!?
Now before you go off on me and start hating me let me tell you I did read the book and there were okay parts, but overall it wasn't the greatest book of all time to me!. In fact don't plan on reading the rest of the series or even seeing the movie!. I thought the book took too long, and I also didn't think that the relationship between Bella and Edward was very strinking either!. I was hoping for so much from the book but I have to admit that I was very dissapointed that the book takes forever to get to what you think will be the big climax but it wasn't that good at all!. I was expecting much more than a Hunter that just wanted to paly a game with Bella and Kill her!. I just don't get it! I have read hundreds of books and I love all kinds of different books but this doesn't even reach my top 50!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like the Twilight books as much as the next girl, but I have to say that I agree with almost everything you said!. And before anyone says anything, I'm thirteen and around the targeted age group for these books, but I just wasn't an enormous fan!.
The books are okay, don't get me wrong, but they definitly aren't the best literary works of all time, by any stretch of the imagination!. At the first of Twilight, I liked Bella, even had a bit of respect for her!. But after she met Edward, she became this slightly-dense little school-girl-in-love damsel-in-distress, which really got on my nerves!. If Edward didn't come to school for one day, was she really going to die!? Come on!.
But the plot is what people like, I think!. They like the idea of the romance between Bella and Edward and it keeps them hoping that something like that will happen for them!.
But by the time you get to Eclipse (what I'm reading now) it gets a bit straining and montonous, to be honest!. And (no offense to anyone, I'm not a hater or anything, this is just my opinion) New Moon was a complete disaster!. I spent the first half of the book groaning through every page at Bella's stupidity and I swear, I nearly fell asleep through the whole 'numbness' extravaganza!. The only thing that kept me reading was the hope that it would get better, and it did!. For about five to six pages!.

I agree with you on some levels!. It certainly isn't an AMAZING book, but like someone else mentioned it's every girl dreams of a love like Edward and Bella, and a boy like Edward!.
They're extremely entertaining in my opinion!. They obviously aren't literary genius!. But they're suspensful, relatively romantic, and creative!.

I am a very big Twilight fan and I think the thing is the books are a new very well written love story!. If another new good love story was to come out Twilight wouldnt be so big anymore!Www@QuestionHome@Com
well since you have not raed the second and third book you do not quite under stand but in the second book jacob is more in it than edward is so ya its i an ok book then the third is like BAM!! i loved it it was so interesting werwolf againt vampire for bella!. any way i loved these books because they have this fantastic characters that blow your mind its like your in a whole nother world when you read these books you like cant put them down you dont want to leave forks washington you dont want to not be away from edward for more then a second its so exiteing i love it and you are probably like a potter fan srry but no efence to the author or fans but THEY SUCK!!!!! and the twilight movie im not going to see ither cuz they wrecked it the ending way off like edward does not kill james his brothers do and bella is like all broken not just one cut on ther head omg like they distroyed it by adding a field trip taht edward is all flirty with bella ahhhh it drives me crazy and they are like not pale enough or the shadow under there eys or something are way not dark enough sorry but the movie will suck so bad! like omg so ya i love the books i cant wait till the next one comes out i know the voituri will be like in it and that the some cullens have to die in a war or something ya so beat that ****** this book rocksWww@QuestionHome@Com
They're just AMAZING!. The whole concept of vampires vs werewolves is just fun to read!. The relationship between Bella and Edward isn't as good as in the next two books so if you haven't even read the whole series then you shouldn't critise the books!. Most books that we read today plots that are similar to other books but Twilight is a fresh new idea that hasn't been taken!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
I think the books are one of the best things i have read!. It has love in it, not just high school love, but unrequited love, and that is what i love the most and i love the intensity of Edward and Bella's relationship, how vivid everything is!. It also has many other themes in it too like trying to belong, forgiveness and passion!. Twilight is just an amazing book!. period!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
hmm!.!.!. i guess that if you're not a reader and you chanced upon twilight [the first novel you've read] you'll like the book a lot, of course!. i think it's just the 'novice' reading thing!. if you haven't read other romance aside from twilight, you'll get hooked by it!.
since you're a reader, you've read bout other better characters, so twilight didn't seem much appealing to you!.
i think it's the light, fluffy romance [every girl dreams of having someone so perfect as a boyfriend I THINK, and edward plays that role]!. hmmm!.!. i guess it's just like how you first encouter things!. If you've seen no better, you'll think it's the greatest thing done [no matter how lame--but twilight is not lame :D]
