I was about to mention Ender's game, but you can read the next book in the series!. Speaker for the dead, Xenocide, Children of the mind!.

Try Hyperion, I read it and wow, its amazing, you''l get excited, you'll cry, you'll laugh a lot!. Its a great book!.

also the classics, like 1984, Brave New world, Solaris, Dune, 2001: A space odyssey, Ubik, I am leyend, I robot!.
There are a lot of books!

Attacked at the military SF end, that could take you to David Drake and "Hammer's Slammers"
Try his "Redliners" to see if you like his style!.
Or Harry Turtledove and his alternate history series "Worldwar": the Lizards invade, just as WW2 is raging!.

I'd highly recommend Jame Patterson's novels!. Fast paced, usually top of the pack!.

also, have you read any Gregg Iles!? Fascinating stuff!.

For a classic novel that will grab you try "All the King's Men," by Robt!. Penn Warren!.

For real down-to-life, try "How Green Was My Valley," By Richard Llewellen!. If I was to be shipwrecked on a desert island, I'd want to take this book along!. One to be read and reread!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I recommend you read The Robot Series by Isaac Asimov!. It has science fiction and action in it!. I was forced to read it for a college sci-fi course and now I am a fan!.

Well, I was going to recommend ender's game, but after reading the details, I see you've already read that one!. So, I would suggest its sequels and Ender's Shadow, which tells the same story from another point of view!.

I recommend "Mimnoch The deviL" by Anne Rice!. It is a story about a man memnoch searching for a way to "save the souls" of people in hell!. That is his mission!. The bock raises many philosophical questions about the relationship between God,man and the Devil!. I grade it A+!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you don't mind Young Adult books, you'd like Chris Wooding!. Storm Thief is science fiction, and Poison is action!. In addition, The Hauntings of Alaizabel Cray is horror/thriller, but you might like it if you like the other two!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

"Neuromancer" by William Gibson, which was recommended by a few people, is a good sf/action mix, but even better is Neal Stephenson's "Snow Crash!." Both are great books about the internet written before the internet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
