I read & buy many books (and still have huuuge wish list on Amazon - hope one day I'll be able to afford all of them:))
I buy books in bookstores (usually Waterstones or WHSmith, I pass them on my way home, I just HAVE to go in:) but more often shop online (mainly Amazon) to get better deals (lower prices = more books: who can resist that!?!? :D
Love libraries too, but I really like to have books on my shelf to be able to come back to them after a while, so prefer buying than borrowingWww@QuestionHome@Com

Well, I read books in Italian, Spanish and English!. The English ones I tend to borrow from the library because it's really unlikely that I will ever read them again!. I can't find modern Spanish or Italian literature in any fo the libraries in my city so I tend to buy them, also because I love reading them over and over again!.

I buy from Amazon or ebay!. My best buy was a book that currently cost 23euros in Spain but I found it on ebay for 5euro plus 2 euro postage!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I buy books very regularly lately, and almost (almost) can't keep up anymore!. [!]
Have had books arriving from Amazon when I least expect them, and they all look like good reading!.

I go to the library a lot as well, usually to pick up books ordered from other branches, or to listen to poetry slams, or to look at more books to buy, because they have a little used-book store going on in there, with good books for about $2!.00 each!.

I also get books from this great new used-book store in town, called Books Wanted --Y'gotta' like a name like that!.
They take books for trade or sale, and will trade for any genre no matter what you bring to them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm always buying books!. I've just finished an English degree, so for the past three years I've been buying books constantly!. Now I've finished it's fantastic to be able to buy books and read books that I actually want to read rather than ones that I have to read too!.

I love bookshops, but I only tend to browse in them now because I find them very expensive when they sell at the RRP!. Most of the time I order them off Amazon because it's cheaper and they do have a much wider selection, especially when I was buying academic books!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I buy about 3 books per month on average!. I use Amazon if I already know what I want, but tend to browse in bookshops for random purchases and take advantage of the 3 for 2 offers that most large shops have!. It's a great way to happen upon books you enjoy but wouldn't have previously considered purchasing!. Ideally I'd like to buy from small independant bookstores but they do tend to be pricier!. The second hand bok stalls on the South Bank in London, near Waterloo are great too!.

I like collecting books I read so it's not often that I use the library, but often borrow from and lend recommendations to friends!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It depends!.
If I see I book I really like/have been searching for, for ages, then I'll buy it from any shop I see!.
But for college textbooks and stuff I need really quickly, I usually get them from Waterstones!.
I have a huge Amazon Wishlist too; from which I am hoping to buy, once I am able to enable a credit card to my account!.
And most of the books I have read are from the library, but this depends on the condition of the book!. If it's fairly 'clean' and newish-looking, then I'll get it from the library!. If it looks extremely rough and 'unclean', but I really want to read the book, then I'll just look elsewhere!.
I like to get intimate and cosy when reading books, so they have to be in good condition!. ^^Www@QuestionHome@Com

I buy books regularly from bookshops, or I borrow them out of my mothers library because she is in a bookclub and buys a new book every two weeks!. At my school we have 20 mins compulsory reading everyday, which I take great advantage of!. I also like to read at night and sometimes in my free periods when I should be studying!. I love reading because you can *escape* if you know what I mean!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, I buy a lot of books; I must have hundreds!. I also use the library a lot - my local one is fantastic!.

I avoid supermarkets as much as I can - these people see books as just another commodity, like baked beans!. There's a WHSmiths about 8 miles away which I browse round sometimes!. Sadly, the lovely eclectic little bookshop in my town closed down!. (shortly before Waterstones moved in!. The owners said publicly that this was not a factor, but I remain unconvinced!.)

The best place, I think, is Hay-on-Wye!. I've been there a couple of times and never wanted to leave!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I buy an average of eight new books a month, usually through Amazon or other online bookseller!. It's easier, and much cheaper, than going into town - I can buy another book for less than the bus fare!

I'll often buy three or four used books through ebay each month too!.

Occasionally I'll borrow a book from the library, these are books I'm interersted in reading but not keeping or as a way to try new authors!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I go to yard sales and get the ones I want for under 5$ most times!. But if I need a specific book, I check it out at the library first and then buy it at the used book store if they have it!. I love Amazon and what they offer!. Sometimes you can find really good used prices there!. Plus they give you references to other books!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I buy books all the time (which is bad seeing as I have tons on my 'to read' list that I haven't gotten to yet)!. I'd say the bulk I buy from Amazon!. I also frequent local used books sales and local used bookstores!. Not really a Barnes and Noble shopper though, unless I can't find it anywhere and I don't feel like waiting to order online!. I almost never go to the library because the one I live by has a very limited selection and has the worst hours I've ever heard of!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I buy a lot of books from good stores, small shops and a local charity shop which believes in fast turnover ie 50p a book!. This is an excellent idea because they never have a mouldy collection of lingering books!. Often I buy from them a virtually brand new book still a bestseller in the stores!.

Other charity shops could use a lesson from our Hospice Shop on sales technique!. They also get most of them back for nothing so it is win win!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I mostly get my books from Amazon or Ebay!. I feel really guilty because I know I am contributing to the disappearance of high street bookshops but forgive me, they're just so cheap!. Occasionally, if I just can't wait I will buy a book from Waterstone's!. I'll pop into a library if I'm going past but don't make a special effort!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I go to the book shop!. It's called Stauffacher in Bern, Switzerland!.
Their German department is superb, as is their text book department, but they also have very good English and French departments!. They're helpful and if they have to order something they send an e-mail when the book has arrived!.
They also have a small café, arrange readings and have special afternoon events for English speaking children!. It's a social centre for anyone who is interested in books!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I read a lot of books!.!. about 3 - 5 a week

I buy from waterstons for my fave authors because I like to get the hardback editions when the book is first released!.

I buy from asda or tesco when something catches my attention!.

I use the library occasionally and really ought to use it a lot more!.!.!.!.

I also use the learning centre's 'mini library' at work for career specific books!.

I am a member of an online book club that send me brochures every month about upcoming books!. A lot aof special offers are available from clubs often with buy 2 get one free etc etcWww@QuestionHome@Com

I read a lot and am not rich so I go to the library to borrow!. I can also buy patron donated books at my library $2 for hardcover 50c for paperback!.

After I read a book that I have loved I will often buy it at the book store or Amazon for my home library so I can reread or share with my friends!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

For new books I shop at Asda or Tesco - at least half price!. Otherwise I go to car-boot sales/charity shops - you go often enough and you find which is the cheapest and/or which gets given the most up-to-date books!. I don't usually pay more than £1 (max) and when I've finished I sell them on at my own car-boot sales and make my money back!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I live in `Spain and so English books (good ones anyway) are hard to come by generally!. I When I do buy them I get them from Amazon!. However someone the other day here said that there is a great website for swapping books (its linked to Amazon anyway so is safe etc)
Go to: www!.readitswapit!.co!.uk it's good!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, I go to brick and mortar stores (usually B&N or Borders, though I have Waldenbooks and B!.Dalton's close as well, but they are much smaller)!. I also buy books online frequently (mostly B&N as I don't appreciate some things Amazon has been doing lately)!. I also buy ebooks online!. I use my library card to access my library's digital collection!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't actually - however, my friend and I were in a charity shop recently and came out with over a hundred books each! I started to read one yesterday and by 9pm I had read it all!. It was great and I was actually suprised by myself that I was reading!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yeah Amazon is great for books esp as they normally qualify for free delivery!. I have tried other on line book sites but they work out more expensive!. Sometimes, if I want a book that is really 'mainstream' I pick it up in Asda for about £3!.80 and I love bagging a few bargains in the charity book shop!. My son and I love to go there and choose a few new books for very little cost!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm not allowed to buy books because my parents say i read too fast so the book don't last long and in a few day become a waste of space and money!. so i only get what i can from the library!. But i read graphic novels and standard novels so i don't seem to run out of things to read!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes I normally buy 3 or 4 a week usually from charity shops, 2nd hand book shops, used from Amazon or Ebay!.
I get withdrawal if I don't read everyday!

I used to go to the library all the time too but I'm terrible at getting the books back on time so buying books works out cheaper than the huge fines I always end up with!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I normally buy my books for second hand book shops, charity shops and the occasional sale that the library has to clear up space!.
If its a book I really want and cant get it cheaply I'll just go to Easons but its fairly rarely!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i have used ebay, amazon, play and lots of other sites, i sometimes find good ones in charity shops, sometimes buy them full price, but i love my local library!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I mostly buy books from a store, such as Waterstones!. Occasionally I'll order them online, I don't mind from where!. Usually the one with the least postage and packaging! Websites such as amazon or waterstones are probably the ones I use the most!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I buy books anywhere, Amazon, book shops, charity shops markets and boot sales! Can't resist books!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I use libraries and buy 2nd hand books a lot!. I occasionally use Amazon or Evilbay, usually for study books!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
