I've just recently come across the story of J!.K!. Rowling suggesting Dumbledore being gay!. From what I've read she said she'd always thought of him as gay!.

well i never really thought about it until JK Rowling mentioned it!. Then when i heard I'm l;ike ohmigosh! then i thought about it and it seemed to fit him!. it quite shocked me and when i told my parents they were like WHAT!?! You no what that means!? and i'm like uh duh yea i'm a teen of course i no! lol they were like speechless it was quite entertaining!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I didn't really think about it, reading them!. Of course, if that's how the character was created, then that's how he is!.!.!.

However, a lot of people think she did it for the publicity!.

I love Jo!. I love Dumbledore!. But she did not really help the gay community!. An old man who never acknowledges his homosexuality, never finds love and spends all his time being loony with a bunch of kids!?

After J!.K!.R told us, it seemed sort of obviose, but honestly, whether Dumbledore prefered men or women wasn't relevent enough to the plot until the seventh book for me to wonder about it!.
Think about it- while Dumbledore is mentoring Harry (and occasionally irritating him beyond measure) and helping him defeat Voldemort, is our focus really on Dumbledore's love life!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
