Question: In the text, To Kill A Mockingbird, how does Harper Lee convey themes through minor characters!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
It's mainly through the characterization of her characters!. This is the case with all her characters, not only her minor ones!. the theme of growing up is conveyed through Scout!. that of racial prejudice is shown through Tom Robinson, who does not win his case, when all shows that he should have, simply because he is black!. Loss of innocence is shown through incidents when Scout, Dill and even Jem are forced to face the harshness of life!. The trial makes Jem grow up before his time!. Even the symbols, and not only the themes, are portrayed through the characters, like the mockingbird through Boo Radley and so on!.
