I'm reading City of Dark Hearts by James Conan!.

It's an enjoyable but not particularly taxing read!.

Ooo i've just bought city of dark hearts and i plan to read it after i have finished "The glass books of the dream eaters" by G!.W!.Dahlquist!. I'm finding it quite confusing to keep track of all the different characters but I am enjoying it!. It's not the kind of book i usually read as its like a mystery/fantasy/general fiction in one!.
Before that i read The interpretation of murder - by Jed Rubenfeld and thouroughly enjoyed that - I imagine it would be more taxing that City of dark hearts!.

I have just finished reading John Connolly's 'The Book of Lost Things'

It was the best book I have read in a long time, its an adult (not in the sexual nature) fairy tale, featuring all your old favourites from when you were a kid - such as Little Red Riding Hood, and Billy Goats Gruff - only with a grown up twist!.

Synopsis
'Once upon a time, there was a boy who lost his mother !' As twelve-year-old David takes refuge from his grief in the myths and fairytales so beloved of his dead mother, he finds the real world and the fantasy world begin to blend!. That is when bad things start to happen!. That is when the Crooked Man comes!. I have just finished The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton!.

Yes it was very readable but I would not put it in the league with my favourite authors and books!.

Tom Wolfe My Name is Charlotte Simmons is a different genre and far superb!. also Sebastian Faulks Birdsong is a joy to read!.

Kate Morton is very good if you want a 'quick read' I have read her other book The House at Riverton, which again is very readable!.

The Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill, very good, definitely takes after his dad Stephen King in the horror stakes!.

The Best of Fathers by Anne Baker, very good light reading!.

Nocturnes by John Connolly - book of short stories to pick up and put down as the mood takes you - also scary!
