Okay, so me and my friend were arguing (again) about Eclipse!.

At the middle endish part where Edward, Victoria, Riley, and Seth, and Bella were all fighting, and Bella picked up that rock to cut herself down her scar, I thought that she did!.

Do you remember what she did!? It was really hard to figure out, but I thought that because she gasped, and victoria turned her head like she smelled blood!.!.!.or something like that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have the book opened to that page right now!. It says that when Bella gasped, getting ready to stab herself, it distracted Victoria, which gave Seth a chance to get up and fight back!. I see what your saying though, but no she was only distracted by Bella's gasp, Bella didn't actually cut herself with the rock!. Think about it if she did, would Edward say "nice stunt you pulled back there"!? He cares way too much about Bella to let her do that and get away with it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I dont think she actually cut herself!.
She was thinking about doing it, because she thought Seth was in danger and she wanted to create a distraction to protect him, but then Edward came out of nowhere and saved Seth!. So after that there was nomore need to hurt herself, but she was in shock and she held the rock where her scar was, but she didnt cut herself!.

the intake of breath waz to prepare herself for when she was about to cut herself but she never actually did!and she just stood there with the rock in place about ready to cutt herself but she nver really did! the whole time they were there she just stood there with the rock in the spot were she was planing to cut herself!Www@QuestionHome@Com

She cut herself with the rock!. She actually did it, because she thought Riley was hurting Seth!. That's why Edward mentions that he had to step in for Seth and how Seth couldn't claim a single-handed defeat on Riley!. Seth was distracted by what Bella was doing, so Edward had to get Riley off of him!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm pretty sure she did, b/c Edward kinda scolds her for doing it!. He says something like, "You didn't have to hurt yourself to keep me safe!." Yeah, I think she did!.
