Question: Can't remember title of this short story!?
I remember reading a short story back in high school or junior high about a house in the future!. No humans are present, something has happened to all humans, and the house goes on without them!. It is more high tech than today so everything is automated!. The breakfast is cooked and placed on the table with no one to eat it and so on!. I must have read it ten years ago or so!. I am wondering if anyone knows the name of the story and the author who wrote it!? A link would also be helpful if you have one!. Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's "August 2026: There Will Come Soft Rains" by Ray Bradbury!. The house is left standing and running after the family has been killed in a nuclear war!. The silhouettes burned into the side of the house were like ones found in Japan after the nuclear bombs were dropped!. It's a chilling story!. I love it! : )
