Question: In Pride and Prejudice what is the relationship between Mrs!. Bennet and Jane, Mary and Kitty!?

Don't worry i understood the question!. Mrs Bennet really does have her favourites and Jane really bears the brunt of this!. Jane is her favourite because she is the "handsomest" and unfortunately Mrs Bennet has other motives other than pure love, in that her looks may get her married well!.

Mary she seems to ignore completely as a member of the family and rather wishes she would leave her in peace!. I personally think this is because Mary is very much like her father in some ways of wishing to study and be sensible and this brings out resentment as she and her husband do not have an amicable relationship!.

She seems to find Kitty annoying "stop coughing child" however again i think this is often to do with her being preoccupied with the other daughters getting courted!.
