Stephenie answered this!.!.!.!.

What's with the apple!?

The apple on the cover of Twilight represents "forbidden fruit!." I used the scripture from Genesis (located just after the table of contents) because I loved the phrase "the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil!." Isn't this exactly what Bella ends up with!? A working knowledge of what good is, and what evil is!. The nice thing about the apple is it has so many symbolic roots!. You've got the apple in Snow White, one bite and you're frozen forever in a state of not-quite-death!.!.!. Then you have Paris and the golden apple in Greek mythology—look how much trouble that started!. Apples are quite the versatile fruit!. In the end, I love the beautiful simplicity of the picture!. To me it says: choice!.

it took me 3 days but if you add the hours it's one day!. (it took longer because my mom made me put it down a lot hahaha)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, the cover has significance!.
This is what Stephenie Meyer says

The other covers (The last books "New Moon" and "Eclipse" also have significance!.)

It took me about a couple of days to finish Twilight :)

Oh and I read the book in like 12 hours!.!.!.!.!.could not stop when I started!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The author has stated that she had no involvement with the design of the cover (authors usually don't) but the cover artists and people involved explained to her that it represented forbidden fruit!.

It took me probably 5-7 days to read the book, only because I have a 3 year old and work full time, so I don't get as much time to sit and read as I would like!. I usually read on my lunch break at work, and sometimes before I go to bed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Dear Moi:

I have never read "Twilight" by Stephanie Meyer; I have just pulled up a picture of its cover on-line!. I do not think I would have time to read it either at present, as I am a little too busy!.

The cover does look very interesting, but, as you know, you do not judge a book by its cover!. I certainly hope you have been enjoyed it!. Reading is very subjective: the very same book some people tell you is a master piece, some other people tell you it is trash!.

For instance, Danielle Steele's books have a slogan: "Everybody reads Danielle Steele"!. Is this true at all!? I know for a fact it is not!. If you ever dare give someone who is the head of the English department at a certain university, he or she will be mad at you!.

I have just stated my opinion; I might be wrong!.
