Shakespeare...You decide!?

Question: Shakespeare!.!.!.You decide!!?

Love or loathe!? I am an English Literature Masters student but I do not really 'like' Shakespeare! Of course I appreciate the value of his works to the canon, but I do not relish in reading his work!. Is this a common opinion!? Or am I just a philistine!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am more into European literature!. It is the only thing the French ever gave us that was worth anything other than the Statue of Liberty and desserts!. But, there are a few plays and poems by Willy I loved, especially Henry IV, pt!. 1!. There is a scene in this play that reperesents a personal triumph of mine!. I actually changed the mind of a professor who was an expert and prize winning author on Shakespeare!. I believe it is one of the most realistically written of WS's plays!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like some of his work and think it is good writing but some of it just seems to drone on in my opinion!. I mean some parts are very good especially from the time written but other parts end with me thinking what the hell was he doing when he wrote this!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't always enjoy reading it but I love seeing shakespear as done by the Royal Shakespeare Company - I'm going to see David Tennent as Hamlet later this year and I am very excited!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I really like a great number of his plays!.
But I hate The Tempest with a passion!.!.!.
