I plan on marrying him! OMG! No man WILL ever be better than him! I was depressed for a week when i read part of new moon! OMG you have no idea!!!!! I like Edward!. He's romantic and loving and protective!. I can see why girls fantasize about a guy like him!. I, however, don't!. I never did!. In fact, when I first read the books I loathed him with a fiery passion! Now, I've warmed up to him, but I'm still not obsessed with him!. He's way too perfect, and very controlling, and also a know-it-all!. Honestly, I don't think I could stand to be in the same room as a guy like him! I have goosebumps just thinking about it!.

think it's because stephanie meyer worked really hard to make the perfect guy for girls!. She made him polite, sweet, gentle to the extreme, and caring!. Not to mention protective!. What's wrong with that!?
also, she leaves a bit of room for you to let your imagination fly!. You know!? Some room here for the looks, here for the accent, and a little room there for anything else you want!.
I think he's been painted beautifully!.
And to touch on the mistakes thing, Edward pretty much always know exactly what he has done wrong, as soon as he does it!. Then is very good at apologizing!. Jake, not so much!.
Plus! He seems more lovable because he has to be in pain to be with bella, the girl he loves! He sacrifices every second he is with her!.
