Question: I have a question about the Harry Potter DH!. What side is Slughorn on!?

on p!.734 (U!.S!.) it says "!.!.!.Harry saw Charlie overtaking horace Slughorn!.!.!." then on the next page it says "Voldemort was now dueling McGonagall, Slughorn, and Kingsley all at once!.!.!."

So is this a mess up in the book, did Slughorn change sides in that short amount of time, or is Charlie on Voldemort's side!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

The part about Charlie overtaking Horace Slughorn, refers to just Charlie RUNNING PAST Slughorn, not defeating him or anything!. Hope this clears things up! =DWww@QuestionHome@Com

slughorn was never on voldemort's side and he felt responsible for giving tom riddle the information to make horcruxes!. if you recall he didnt let potential death eaters into the slug club also!.
however, he was rather more out for himself in the end of the book more than anything, he was trying to keep himself alive!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

slughorn believes in harry's side but he's scared of voldemort!. but dumbledore and harry got him out of the fear!.

I think you may have misinterpreted the first quote!.!. I think it just means that Charlie was ahead of Slughorn in terms of having fought the death eaters and co!.
