I've recently discovered Bill Bryson and I highly recommend the 3 books I've read so far!. they are:
A Walk In the Woods
In A Sunburned Country
The Life & Times of The Thunderbolt Kid
you will laugh!

also I read a funny little book a couple of years ago by Daniel Pinkwater called " Uncle Boris in the Yukon and Other Shaggy Dog Stories"

A good laugh out loud kind of book that should not be forgotten is All Creatures Great & Small by James HerriottWww@QuestionHome@Com

"He died with a felafel in his hand" by John Birmingham is HILARIOUS! If you've ever lived in a share house, you will appreciate the humourous incidents that occur throughout the book!.
I've heard that Bill Bryson writes some hilarious books too, but I've never actually gotten around to reading one!.
