mulluane gave some good advice!. Let me expand on it a little: generally, names are chosen for cultural reasons, not for appearance or (as many suggested) to represent a character's "personality"!. It is rare, indeed, that a parent correctly identifies an infant's personality at birth and names them accordingly!.!.!.

Instead, they are named according to the dictates of their culture!. SO, what is the culture of these people similar to on earth!? *That* should be your guide in naming!. Are they from a culture that speaks a fantasy language!? Then the "sound" of that language should be the primary influence on your choice of name!.

For example, if the human girl is from a Rome-like culture, she should have a Roman name!. If from a French-like culture, then French, etc!. etc!. Was she born a slave!? Then she should have a simple name!. Was she born a princess!? Then she might have several names, all probably rather flowery and/or noble-sounding!.

Now, the elves!. Are they Tolkienesque elves!? Then they should have names that sound like they fit that language, lots of "a" and "r" and "L" sounds!. Are they more Nordic elves!? Names like Gustav of Gnurri might be more appropriate!.

I think you get the idea!. Once you have developed a background for the characters, no one is going to be better at providing names for them than you!.

When I was playing with the notion of writing Fantasy I always went with Celtic names, mainly because elves, druids and the like are associated with that era, and, well, they are just cool!.
Here is a site with Celtic names, words and meanings:

When I am in a fix with finding names, I google name sites!. You know, the sites that expectant mothers go to when they are searching for baby names!. You can find amazing names that nobody uses!. Greek mythology names, Hebrew names, everything!. And what I love, love LOVE to do is to find out the meaning of the word!. Say you have an evil wizard who lives at the bottom of the sea!? Name him something that means "of the sea"!. It's unique, clever, and has meaning behind it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
