I don't know how old you are, but I'll do my best to offer a few suggestions of fantasy books!.!.!.

-The Hobbit by J!.R!.R!. Tolkien and The Lord of the Rings trilogy by Tolkien, if you haven't already read them!. Tolkien's books are very creative, intelligent, and excellently written!.

-The Chronicles of Narnia by C!.S!. Lewis - this series (with 7 books in it) is a very fun and magical read!. It is technically aimed at a younger audience (it's for kids), but these books are great reads for adults, as well!.

-I don't know how old you are, but when I was a little younger I liked a lot of Tamora Pierce's series (she writes books for young teens and young adults, I believe)!. My favorite series of hers was always Circle of Magic, which has four books, each one revolving around a kid with a special power!. I also heard her The Song of the Lioness series was good, which is about a girl trying to become a knight!. (You don't have to be young to enjoy her books/series!.!.!.)!.

-For something a little more mature, perhaps, you could try George R!.R!. Martin's fantasy novels/series!. I have actually never read his stuff, but my dad enjoys his works (and so do many others I've talked to!.!.!.)!. One fantasy series of his that is popular is called A Song of Ice and Fire!.

Best wishes!Www@QuestionHome@Com

That can affect a lot of what you like to read!.
I recommend Tamora Pierce's books!. She's written lots and they're all very good!

fantasy!? do you mean the lord of the ring's type or the more open fantasy type!. (the ones thats not always about elves, knights, etc)

if ur into the lotr types,!.!.!.uhh, i don't read that kind of books!. except fighting fantasy books!. its like playing dungeons & dragons in a novel!. with the character sheets & stuff!. theres more than 20 books!. its fun, you can make your own path, decisions, how you want to attack, etc!. & Septimus Heap, theres currently 4 books, but the author said its gonne be 7-Magyk, Flyte, Physik, Queste, & the other 3 (they're kinda like harry potter!. KINDA but it has some humour in it)

if ur into the more open type, i suggest:

skulduggery pleasant (& sequel)
the palace of laughter (& sequel)
spiderwick chronicles (& beyond the spiderwick chronicles)
the city of ember (& 2nd, 3rd & 4th book)
The invention of hugo cabret

sorry if the books are like childish or somethingWww@QuestionHome@Com

I love Terry Goodkinds "the Sword of Truth" series, 1st one is Wizards First Rule, but theres a lot of bloodshed & sex I dont know if youre into that!. otherwise you can always go with the classic Tolkein, or Dragons of a Fallen Sun, Inkheart if you like the fairytale stuff, or anything from the Forgoten Realms if you're into dungeons&dragons!. its all preference!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The twilight series is good and so is Harry Potter and of course Grimms fairy tales!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Dragon Riders of Pern by Anne Mcaffery
http://www!.iblist!.com/series130!.htm
Anne Mcaffery is one of those authors whose books just leave you feeling good once you read the last page!. While a combination of Sci-fi and Fantasy (the argument continues about which one it is) they sit on my fantasy shelf!. Anyone who has ever dreamed of riding a dragon should read these!.

Xanth Series by Piers Anthony
http://www!.amazon!.com/Xanth-nbsp-Series/!.!.!.
Fun series full of fantastic creatures, a unique world and a magic system based on puns!. Yes I said puns! These are a light read and funny as heck (by the rules of the Adult Conspiracy if I say the other word really bad things will happen!.)

Valdemar series by Mercedes Lackey
http://www!.mercedeslackey!.com/biblio_ser!.!.!.
This is a large collection and every book in it is excellent!. The concept of being *chosen* by a companion, which is essentially a telepathic horse with amazing powers, is delightful!. Once chosen you become one of the elite heralds, protectors of the realm!. Start with Arrows of the Queen!.

The Belgariad (5), The Malloreon(5), The Elenium (3), The Tamuli(3) by David and Leigh Eddings
http://www!.eddingschronicles!.com/index!.h!.!.!.
I can't say enough good about these books!. They are full of rich content, fantastic worldbuilding and plenty of sorcery!. One of my biggest draws is the humor, the interaction between characters can be side splitting at times!. They are rift with dry wit, affectionate banter and personal quirks!. My favorite books hands down!.

Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Mists_of_Av!.!.!.
I've always loved her writing, even her Sci-fi books and I'm not a huge Sci-fi fan!. In this book she gives a whole new light on the Celtic era where Merlin reigned supreme!. In a topic that has been done to death, somehow she manages to make it all fresh and new, and a great read!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
