Question: What does anbaric mean!? (Golden Compass Books)!?

Yeah this is kind of a dumb question but i noticed when i was reading the His Dark Materials trilogy, the author of these novels uses the word "Anbaric" Quite often!. He uses it like

"And the anbaric lights covered the room" Or "!.!.!.Anbaric electricity"

Anbaric is to Lyra's world as electricity is to ours!. And a naptha lamp is just a lamp that people in Lyra's world use!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
