Question: Authors who put you there!?
I just finished the Kite Runner and loved it!. One thing that I loved about it was that I really could feel the sense of being in Afghanistan (not just the sights, but also the smells, the feel of the place)!. I wanted to know what authors you have read that really put you in the setting of the book, so much so that you feel as if you have been to a place you have never been before!. (I've had similar feelings reading Francine Rivers (1st century Jerusalem and Rome) and Rohinton Mistry (20th Century India)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
