Question: What are some great books about Norse mythology besides the Eddas!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I love Norse mythology!. There are two books sitting on my bookshelf right now that I would have no problem recommending to anyone!.

The first one is called "Exploring The Northern Tradition: A Guide To The Gods, Lore, Rites And Celebrations From The Norse, German And Anglo-saxon Traditions" by Galina Krasskova and Swain Wodening!.

The title is a bit long but there is some great stuff in there!. You won't be disappointed!. Here is a link to buy that book:

The second book I would highly recommend is simply called "The Norse Myths" by Kevin Crossly Holland!. Holland takes the stories from the Prose Edda and retells them in a way that might make more sense to the uneducated reader!. Brilliant stuff!. Here is a link to buy that one:

If you have any questions about Norse myth, feel free to email me!. My Yahoo name, as you can see, is norseheathen!. I worship the Norse gods just as my ancestors did over a thousand years ago!. I apologize if this answer is a bit long but Norse myth questions rarely come up in this section!.

I hope that answers your question!.
