Question: What makes good science fiction!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Good science fiction is speculative fiction!. It takes an issue or problem from today and projects it into the future and shows us what will happen is we continue on our present course!. For instance - what is the future of our planet if we don't do anything to stop Global Warming!? That is but one example!. Pax-CWww@QuestionHome@Com

I am a character person!. I will read any book that has swiped the plot from C S Forester! I think I like sci fi because you can set your own boundaries without having to work with in a reality everyone knows and can carp about!. My only sci fi criticism is that sometimes the authors are so in love with their tech that they go waaaaaaaay overboard in telling us how it works!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, just like any other book, you need a good plot!. A plot that'll keep the reader wanting to read more!.
