I disagree!. I think Roger is the most savage of all the boys!. The fact that he brings up the option of having a vote to elect for chief, shows us how confident he is that Jack will win!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Roger reflects the "civilized" part of our nature!. He is one of the few who believe that order and laws should govern the group of boys and the conch was the only symbol of civility!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
