Study photography and other visual arts!. Learn about composition and lighting, as well as the technical aspects of photography!. Business classes will help, too!.

Find as many opportunities as you can to take pictures - school paper, yearbook, drama club, whatever!.

And be your own harshest critic - look at every picture you make and think what you could have done to make it better!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Get shooting loads, learn the business of photography and be prepared for the challenge ahead!. Just make sure you definitely want to be a photographer and know what sort of area you want to work in otherwise you'll end up drowning in the sea of competition!. Its not just about taking good pictures but having the business sense to sell yourself!.

Unless you're 100% about it I wouldn't even bother trying!. Sorry to sound so harsh about it but that's the reality of being a pro photographerWww@QuestionHome@Com

Apply to work at a camera store!. Like Ritz Camera or maybe some of those studio places they have in walmarts!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Make some phone calls to the professional photographers in your city!. Offer to be a minimum-wage apprentice!. If you can't convince them to pay you, offer to volunteer for free!. You'll haul equipment around on a photo shoot, hold lights and reflectors and generally do the boring stuff so the professional can work!. You'll never touch a camera or edit a photo!. (That's the professional's job!.) But you'll get experience about the photography industry, get to ask questions to a pro and learn a thing or two!.
