as a painter myself!.!.!. i say it's pretty awesome :)
great work
the color blending is fine ( nice choice of color and placement, the crimson red at the top and the yellow down there gives a warm feeling ) , degradation is fine although a tip!.!.!. if you run a hard brush ( preferably big ) over and over in a horizontal direction you could blend it more and create more realistic background!. but from what i see it's pretty fine and good when using acrylic!.

the trees are amazing, i love them, i just love sunsets, nice detailing on the branches, created by the brush!.

the way you drew the clouds is great, it gives direction of wind, and volume, but if i was you, i wouldn't go with black because clouds are light and translucent, and they can pass light, so if i were you, i would use light purple with white on the top, maybe bluewish colors or maybe redish colors, if you want to keep the contrast and blend with the background!.

if you need any help, do not hesitate to contact me, i would love to help you with every question you have on painting!. you have a great talent, work on it!.

great work again :) keep it up !

ever used oil paint !? it will help you allot in blending your colors!.!.!. you will enjoy it am sureWww@QuestionHome@Com

You've done a nice job!. I just have a couple of comments:

~ The clouds at sunset are not black!. See how the clouds in this lighting situation are generally a mars violet/reddish-purple color!? http://www!.magicbracket!.com/michaeloffe/!.!.!. and http://wwwdelivery!.superstock!.com/WI/223!.!.!. The clouds in your painting are so small that they might even still allow some of the red through, like this silhouette painting I did of Provincetown: http://i56!.photobucket!.com/albums/g172/l!.!.!.

See, even in this sunset silhouette city-scape of Seattle, the haze creates a purple glow over the city!. http://www!.alaska-in-pictures!.com/data/m!.!.!. This color is essential if you have any other objects catching the light at this time of day!. I get this color by adding a little new gamboge yellow to a reddish-violet!.

~ The trees need a companion for a better composition!. Odd numbers are usually preferred for compositional reasons, so a second tree or it could be another object, would help the image!. The textures along the ground are very good, however the trees could use a little more variety, maybe a sky hole or two!. Silhouettes are ALL ABOUT NEGATIVE SPACE!.

I would encourage you to try adding in some of the other colors of sunset!. It would elevate the ordinary sunset painting to become a good study of light!. Even Claude Monet included purple in his sunsets: http://www!.tate!.org!.uk/britain/exhibitio!.!.!. http://images!.easyart!.com/i/prints/rw/lg!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
