Question: Which one of these photos is the best one!?

Hi Mari!. I'm a landscape photographer, and I have a couple of photographer friends who do candid portraits similar in nature to yours!. So I know a little bit about the subject!.
While I realize that you're not a photographer, I think you should consider taking it up!. You seem to have a natural ability for it!. Your eye for composition shows promise, and I like the lighting situations that you chose!. My favorite is the first because you turned what would normally be a typical ( almost cliche )image and turned it into something else just by choosing to shoot it when you did!. I like the sihouetted, but not quite black foreground against the slightly overcast sky, which is pretty well defined, by the way!. That's the one you should enter!.
I also very much like the last one for it's intimacy of a not so typical subject matter!. The angle you chose to shoot that from was an excellent choice!. I felt like I was crouched down there with him with my nose to the paper!. Nice work all across the board, though!. Keep shooting!. You're doing good!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Please don't take this comment wrongly!.

One big problem I see for all your photos is composition!. They might improve if you crop them (before submitting them for contest)!.

This means the way you compose these shots with you camera resulted in photos that are not pleasing!. Take your time when you take photos and carefully think about each photo--"will this look good in a frame on the wall!?"

Hate to break it to you, none of it is going to win!.

If I were to submit one, I'd have to choose the one with two ladies wearing kimono!. And I'd crop out the upper half!.

Not sure if your camera was capable (probably not), but you need to shoot with a lesser depth of field!. Trying shooting all your pictures at F2!.8, or F4 for one day!. Your pictures would have come out differently!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The first one or the last one!. Not bad but you need to sharpen them up a little and adjust the contrast or saturation!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like the one of the two ladies in the dresses, it reminds me of Mulan :)

good luck!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I took a look at them all and i think the first wan was the best!.
