Question: If I want more contrast than what appears on my negative what type of paper do I use!?

Oh damn I slept through that class!. In order to give a picture more contrast though I just had the paper exposed to the light for a couple more seconds and it worked fine!. But I suck at these things!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If I want more information than what appears in my brain, I should:
1!. do my own research
2!. ask the question here and get a lot of unreliable guesses (and some sarcasm)
