No the viewing area will be about 3mm (1/8") all round smaller than 10" X 8" this lip is necessary to hold the 10" X 8" glass in the frame!.

Better quality frames have a matte that keeps the picture away from the glass to stop it sticking to the glass over time!. The aperture in these is also needs to be smaller than 10" X 8" paper size to hold the print in place!.

This is why 10" X 8" prints usually have white a border!.

Yes it is!. The viewable area is 8x10 so if you get an 8x10 photo and put it in the frame there wont be a gap!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
