Tip: If you use any type of material then you need a steamer to de-crease it once its hung up!.

Muslin, cloth etc looks very amatwur though and very dated in portraits (it was used a lot in the 1970s!)!.

I always use seamless rolls of paper!. You can get 9ft or 4!.5ft rolls - the lartter are easy to transport in a car and ok for half length pics with some good separation form the bg!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

ebay is a great place to get some if you are looking for pre-made ones!. you can also get ones with stands for taking your show on the road!. this is what i do at conventions!. i have two from a place called amvona!. search ebay for photo stuff and you will run into them or go to amvona!.com!. but get it from ebay as it is less expensive!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

also simply try things like colored bedsheets, curtains and even a solid color beach towel for close ups!. You' be surprised what looks good in camera!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Photographers will use both muslin (cotton) backgrounds as well as seemless (paper)!.

Muslin is pretty easy to have shipped, seemless costs a bunch if you get the 107 inch wide size!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

B&H Photo, Ebay (already mentioned), any decent Pro Photo Shop, Fabric stores, Painter's drop clothes (yes!.!.!. used)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ebay has some great finds!Www@QuestionHome@Com
