I think there is definitely a chance!.!.!.but maybe someday in the future, not now!.

After all, records are starting to make a comeback! Didn't we all think that records were gone for good after CD's became popular!? Cassette tapes killed records (mostly) in the 1980's, and then cd's really killed them in the 1990s!. And yet, despite all of today's modern technology with mp3 players, records are starting to reappear!. I went into the Virgin music store at the mall, and I couldn't believe it when I saw that they were selling records again!. They weren't all just re-release old albums either!.!.!.there were some new bands and albums that were being sold on records!. Some people really just like the sound of records better!.

I think, overall, there is some kind of a retro movement happening!. Maybe people are so bombarded by computers and modern technology that they want something simpler and more hands-on!.

also, despite modern digital video cameras, you can still buy 8mm and Super-8 movie film!. It's starting to make a comeback too!. A lot of people like to shoot with vintage 8mm cameras as a hobby!.

So YES, I think that someday another company will start to manufacture instant film again!. But it won't happen for probably years from now!. Right now, there is still kind of a stigma attached to instant film, and everyone is still jumping on the digital bandwagon!. also, the economy is absolutely horrible right now!. A lot of companies are just barely trying to survive!. (And that's EVERYTHING!.!.!.even sales of digital cameras are plummeting, and look at how GM is about to go out of business)!. So right now everyone is just trying to get through hard times!. Some people say we're on the verge of a depression!.

But I think someday in the future, when the economy improves, another company will buy the license from Polaroid and they will start to manufacture instant film again!. I'm sure I'm going to get voted thumbs down, and maybe some people will say I'm being overly optomistic!. But I just have a feeling that it will reappear someday!.!.!.the same way that records reappeared!.

But who knows!? Maybe Fuji will have the guts to do it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Poloroid's concept of "instantly developed photos" was a miracle of the 1960's, but it got replaced by digital technology years ago!. Developing technology has caused MANYYYYY once great ideas to be phased out of production!. On-line roller blades replaced roller skates in the 1980's!. Cassette players replaced record players and I-Pod's replaced CD's and cassettes!. Name any product from the 1950's or 60's and chances are that something BETTER came along to replace it!.
I seriously doubt that ANY company would take over making Poloroid film or cameras!.!.!.!.!.but Poloroid can still continue in the marketplace but making digital products such as SD cards or Compact flash cards!. They SHOULD be focusing the energy and their financial resources on making their OWN line of digital camera's!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The word is that Polaroid wants to make a deal for the instant film production to be continued, just by someone else!. So I would say that it is a definite probability if Fujifilm wants to take that production on that you will eventually be seing Fujifilm instant film for polaroid!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm sorry I don't know, but I hope there is hope!.!.!. because it's sad if it leaves!.!.!. :(
