Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
include what your art is about
what drives you to make the art
what your art looks like
what your influences are
the mediums you work in

here is my artist statement its not perfect but it may help!.

My work is about the characteristics of environments, and atmosphere!. My work usually reflects elements found in nature but also incorporates elements of man made environments!. My work does not truly depict nature, but draws from certain aspects of nature, mainly repetitive patterns and has been described by others as organic, intricate, structural and hypnotizing!. In my art I explore several aesthetic phenomenon’s such as how the coordination of certain colors or how the positioning of objects can affect ones mood!. I find these basic concepts very intriguing!. I gather my art ideas from various places including nature, architecture, ornamental designs (tribal art included) and of course other artist, such as James Turrell who I admire for his great understanding of how space and light work together!. Barbara Hepworth is also a big influence!. I find her unique forms and textures appealing, also her conscientiousness of how her pieces interact within it’s surroundings is something I admire as well as this is a concept which is used not only by her but also utilized in gardening and landscape design which are also among some of my interests!. I almost always have my pieces planned out before making the art although sometimes I make design changes while working on a piece!. My work is centered around the aesthetic value of color, texture, pattern and unity of space!. The mediums I work in include painting, mixed media and sculpture!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
