Question: Were glass plates ever made as positives!?
My mother sent me two glass plates that aren't negatives, they are positives!. They have some pretty good detail!. The images seem to depict the realist era of painters (i!.e!. looks like a reproduction of a painting), late 1800s to early 1900s!. Were these common and what do you call them!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Very common!. They are most likely Magic Lantern slides!. They were made and sold for decades!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Perhaps they were made to be projected or viewed through a viewer!.
