Question: I ruined my D50 dSLR!. Looking for an affordable legacy Nikon dSLR with the Auto-focus motor built-in!. Ideas !?
Oh, yeah, "legacy" means used and very cheap! ;-)Www@QuestionHome@Com

That's odd, where I work "legacy" means old and a p!.i!.t!.a!. to maintain (software ;-)

Look for another D50, a slightly better D70 or the newer D70s, !.!.!. or possibly a D100 (a bit older than the D70 - roughly the same specs in a metal body)!.

The D50/70 are rated for 50k actuations; the D100 for 100k!. (Repairing the shutter would cost over 50% of the value of body!.)

d50's are really robust!. How did you manage to ruin it!? Immersed in water or what!? or, left it out in the rain!? OMG!.

I have my d50 that I will not part with it!. I just love that bugger!. It is the bet piece of equipment I ever came across!. All others are pale in comparison!.

Saving grace is eBay may have some one selling d50's!. Try your luck there!.

pssst!.!.!. wanna buy mine!? Won't be cheap though!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Bummer!. That is why I don't like digital!. Too easy to ruin!. I once had a 35mm film camera that I accidently immersed in water!. After it dried it still worked just fine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
