Respiratory mask when using polyester resin?

Question: Respiratory mask when using polyester resin!?

Is it necessary for safety reasons to wear a respiratory mask when using polyester resin!? I know it has a toxic fume, but an actual respiratory mask!? Seems a bit much!. Couldn't I just use one of those nose/mouth covers that doctors and painters wear!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Due to the nature of the fumes, and the chemical make-up of polyester resin, a true respirator mask is needed!. The chemicals can easily pass through those cheap masks!. The activated carbon of a true respirator will prevent those fumes from damaging the mucosa of your lungs!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
