There are very few people who can pick something up and master it instantly!. Practice makes perfect and if you really like photography keep practicing, take classes, and enjoy yourself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First of all, you would benefit from being less sensitive to constructive criticism!. By posting subjective work to be criticized for improvement, especially when you're at the novice level, you should not be expecting totally positive feedback!.

Most of your photos are out of focus, or blurry!. I would assume that you're using a point and shoot camera, so remember to press the shutter button down halfway before taking the photo to allow the autofocus to do its job and make the picture as clear as possible!. also, try to brace yourself against a sturdy object or hold your breath at the moment you press the shutter to minimize blur caused by movement!. Shooting in well-lit places also minimizes this type of blur!.

As for the actual content of your photos, they aren't very compelling at all!. You are expecting a standard angled shot of a household object (such as a blender) to be interesting to others, when it is not!. Snapshots of objects convey no meaning!. You are sort of getting the hang of it with the Bible picture, because it juxtaposes a traditional Bible with a children's version!. The pencil photo also has a meaning of sorts!. Think about what your photos will convey as you shoot them!.

also, I noticed that in the last one, you used flash!. Try to avoid using flash when at all possible!. Use natural light instead!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The bible one is the only one that would be any good, the rest aren't art, they're just snapshots!. Photography is art, you can't run around snapping photos and expecting to be praised as a good photographer, check out a website like deviant art and study some photography!. Look at the composition, creative uses of lighting, figure form, and the over feeling a photo gives you!. The point of photography isn't to run around and take a cute myspace picture of your friends or dog, it's to capture a moment that makes someone FEEL the particular emotion you're trying to convey!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

To be honest, you are WAY too sensitive to be a photographer!. Seriously!. If you're going to ask for critique, take what you get and use it to improve what you do!. Don't get all snippy!.

Here's my observation, your work has purpose and is not simply random - which means you've obviously put some thought into what you wanted to capture!. The problem with them is technical, mostly!. They are not very well focused!. You don't suck, you just either need a better camera, or you need to learn how to better use the one you've got!. And don't use the flash - ever!. Use natural light, from a window!. Flash photography using your camera will ALWAYS suck!. You don't just buy a camera, then become this great photographer!. It can sometimes take years to master some aspects, and you'll never stop learning new techniques!. Go to a bookstore, get yourself a triple latte, B-line for the art/photography section, and read, read, read!. Then keep taking pictures until your memory card fills up!. Upload the images to your computer, then look at them!. Every time you go out, what you get should improve!. If not, you've got more reading to do!.

I can tell you choose subjects that are interesting to you and they are also interesting to me!. The objects, however, are not the photograph!. Nor is the photograph the objects!.

What I'm saying is, no matter how interesting your objects and set-ups, you need to take an interesting perspective on them!. That is what photography (and most art) is about: perspective!.

Take the blender, for example!. What is interesting about the blender!? What about the blender speaks to you!? What are some ways that you have never seen a blender depicted before!?

Try some interesting lighting techniques and some funky angles and get some practice in!.

Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Stop taking out of focus pictures and stop taking pictures of THINGS!. Take pictures that help tell a story or that are a story themselves!.
I'm sure your camera has a delete button, use it instead of showing people crappy pictures you take!. Out of 100 pictures I take, I might only keep 3 or 4!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Some of them are okay, like the pencil one!. I love black and white, and it is good for beginners!. Try to get some action shots and increase your shutter time if you can!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

a lot of the pics are out of focus!.!.and some have no poin to them!. why are you taking them!? you need to take pics of things that jump out at youWww@QuestionHome@Com

I think the "Life is Dull" shot is very creative!.

You need to watch your focus and be more aware of your lighting!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
