I think you need to know a lot, particularly about how to run a business!. I came a while ago about this website of a not-for-profit art gallery and they have a couple of thoughts about this!. I put the links below!. Those people do run a fairly successful gallery, but I don't think they actually earn money!.

Unless you don't have to pay rent for the space and have no costs I don't think it's easy to run a successful gallery!. I've seen a lot open and close pretty fast!. Some obviously manage!. I would go and try to get an internship (even an unpaid one) in the most successful gallery in my area and observe what they do and if possible bug them with questions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
