Did you download this RAW plugin!?

Adobe DNG Converter and Camera Raw 4!.4!.1 update

http://www!.adobe!.com/support/downloads/p!.!.!.

That plug-in and using either Photoshop CS3 (or CS4) or Photoshop Elements 6!.0 will get you cookin'Www@QuestionHome@Com

Like fhotoace said your version of camera raw probably was out before the support for your camera was on it!. Its easy to update that file for your version of photoshop or elements!. Realize that camera companies are always adding cameras and the software you bought was probably in development a couple of years before it came out on the shelves!. Adobe does a great job of adding new camera support for its camera RAW!.

View NX also came with your camera and that can open and convert the NEF files!. If you lost the disc you can download it free at nikonusa!.comWww@QuestionHome@Com

The version of Photoshop you have determines the the Raw files it can recognise!.

For the Nikon D60 it has to be Photoshop CS3 with the 4!.4!.1!. upgrade (or higher)!. Download from here;-

http://www!.adobe!.com/support/downloads/p!.!.!.

This will only work with CS3 or above!. Any version of Photoshop earlier than this cant open your Raw files!.

There are a load of Raw converters that can open your Raw files and convert them to 16bit Tiff (recommended as it keeps more date) or Jpeg!. Silkypics, Raw Therapy to name just two!.

If you're using CS3 it's simply a matter of going to BRIDGE and then click under FILE for GET PHOTOS FROM CAMERA!.

The raw image just opens and you can do manipulate the images

Good luck,

You can also download NView from Nikon to look at and convert NEF (aka Nikon RAW) files!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
