It really depends how thick the paint is applied and also what colors you are using as some colors take longer to dry!. For instance, Alizeron Crimson takes a LONG time to dry!.
If it is taking too long, next time you can use a product called Japan Dryers BUT--use this product ONLY in a well ventilated room because it is super TOXIC!.

Wait a few weeks for it to be tactile dry to the point it is safe to transport!.!.!.and wait 6 months to one year before you consider varnishing it because --while the paint may SEEM dry, it is still shrinking!. If you varnish it too soon, the varnish will eventually develop noticeable CRACKS and destroy your painting!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Different colours of oil paint dry at different rates!. Generally white is very slow to dry and can take up to two weeks even if not applied thickly!.

There is an additive you can buy at the Art store to add to your oil paints when painting, to speed up drying process!.

If you have to transport a 'tacky' oilpainting, place some 'baking paper' over it!. This will not stick onto your painting!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

As others said, paints dry at different rates!. Red and white are usually very slow to dry!. It also depends on how thick you applied the paint!. They don't cure for about one year!. Don't use anything but retouch varnish, Liquin, or something similar, until the paints cure!.

Cobalt drier can be added to speed up drying!. Be careful, as too much can cause paint to crack!.

Try alkyd paints!. They dry faster and at a more even rate!. You can manipulate them very much like oils!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

real oil paint paint isn't supposed to fully dry for six months!.
it dries faster in warm temperature!.
but usually like a week or two when you can touch it and move it and stuff!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It really depends on how thick the application is!. It can take up to a week to dry, and even longer if you used multiple layers!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have had very thick paintings that have taken a good three months to dry!

So like the person above said it really depends on thickness!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
