I would have to agree that developing at Walmart is "inconsistent!." It really seems to depend on who's working in the lab!. I used to get my pictures developed at the Walmart here, because for a while they were doing a great job!. But the last time I took film there, they scratched my negatives!. There was a very visible line through half the pictures!. I looked at the negatives and I could tell there was a serious scratch on the film base!. But I found a local 1-hour photo lab!. It's a small, family-owned shop and they do a great job!.

I develop my own black and white film and pictures though!. I only take color film to a lab, because I can't develop color film!.

also, I'm not trying to be mean!.!.!.but really, with pictures from a Holga camera, it won't matter that much because you can't have your expectations too high!. Plastic lomography cameras (Holga, Diana, etc) are not that great because they are known to have problems with light leaks!. also, they have problems with color fringing and soft focus because of the poor quality plastic lens!. Some people like the defects from Holga cameras because they think it's creative!. If you already understand that it's a DEFECT in the camera and you just want to have fun with unusual effects, that's fine!. But just be sure you understand that those cameras are not the best!. If this is the first time you've used film, you need to get a REAL camera!. Get a vintage SLR or rangefinder camera, like a Minolta or an Argus!. You can find them in really good condition for less than $50 on eBay, and they will take awesome pictures!. Much sharper than a Holga! (In fact, my Argus C4 camera can take much better pictures than my 8 megapixel digital camera)!.

I just wanted to be sure you understood that!. A Holga camera is not a good example at all of what film can do!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Take it to a pro lab!. WalMart is cheap and the photos you get back will look cheap!. You don't have to have a contact sheet made!. You can order 4x6 prints!. Yes, the cost is more but the results will be far better than Wallie World prints!. If you insist on using a cheap 1 hour place go to Walgreens!. They do a good job!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
