It looks like a problem as the image is dumped off the sensor!. If this camera produced good images before, then dropping it may have effected one of the scanning control lines as it reads data!.

If you have a card reader and the images read off the memory card are good, then the problem is in the camera's information transfer!. No matter what, it looks like a hardware problem and the camera should be replaced!.

Can your pictures be fixed!? I'm fairly good with photoshop and I would say no!. However, it is an interesting effect and I can see doing something artsy with the 'broken' images!. In fact, I'm adding what I saw in your image to a notebook of things to play around with in PS!. Given the right image, it could be good!

Not great news, huh!?

Dropping the camera could cause the problem, but I think it would have to be a heavy moderate to severe shock!. My guess is that, if it's still under warranty, Sony will replace it!.

I assume this is a digital image and not a scan of a print we are looking at!?

It is quite likely that one of the scan traces to the sensor was broken when the camera was dropped!.

I am sure a gifted photoshop wizard could fix your pictures but it will have to be done with every picture you ever take!.

Time to start thinking about a new camera!.

(Note that if neglect or abuse is discovered the warranty will quite likely be void)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Is this an actual image file from the camera or is it a scan of a print you made!?

If it is what the camera is producing, call the Sony help line 800!.222!.SONY

If it is a scan of the print from your printer, then you need to tell your printer you are using high gloss photo paper (or what ever paper you are using)!.

IF you have the expertise, you might be able to make it usable, but it is really going to take a lot of time and will never look right!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There might be something wrong with the lenses!. But dropping it will affect it!. Take it the camera where ever u got it and u might get a new one!. I think one of my friends had the same problem!. she got a new camera with a great discount!. and u can still have the pictures just put the memor card in the new one!.

i dont think you can edit them but it might be a setting!. play around with it and if it doesnt go away take it to a camera store or where you bought it to see if they can fix it or replace it if its newWww@QuestionHome@Com

maybe you should check your picture settings!.
or maybe see if you can fix it by editting it on your computer!.
if that doesnt work i would get my receipt and take that **** back!.
ASAP!
Gud luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's def!. broken!. If you have a warranty on it, go and swap it for a new one!. If not, see if it can be fixed!.
