I just did a family portrait where everyone was laying on the ground in a bunch of colorful sheets and blankets and pillows!. The colors really worked, everyone was happy and having fun, but the big thing was I could get their heads close together and still have an interesting composition!. Otherwise it'd be an adult sitting in a chair, the other standing or sitting on the ground, you know- looks good but won't work to well with as small print!. But this way I was able to keep it nice and tight on the faces and they will work just fine as a 4x6 Christmas card!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You'd have to call the photographer to come to location, which will cost more money than in the Studio!. Outdoor family portrait!? What would be in the foreground and the background!? Which locations!? It could be pretty cool, and surely creative!. However, why not just stay in the studio, you'll get the same quality shots!. Plus, it won't cost you as much!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

It all depends on what you like!. It could be down on the beach on a hot summers day or at sunset time with sand castle that the kids made!. If your kids like animals then have a photo of all of you with them, or maybe swimming and some-one going down a water slide or my favourite would have to be all dressed up in the 1940s when the gold rush was!. Or in the 40's!.
I really don't know as everyone has different ideas/llikes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
